Regional Quality Engineer

POSITION TITLE: Regional Quality Engineer
LOCATION: Remote, US
Our Connectivity Solutions (Dura-Line, LLC.) business group is seeking to hire a Regional Quality Engineer who will be instrumental in running our quality management system. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement, uphold compliance, and guarantee the highest quality of Dura-Line’s product offering. You will work closely with engineering and production teams across the region to define quality processes and support the implementation and sustainability of corporate standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the organization’s QMS complies with standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other industry-specific regulations. This includes managing documentation, procedures, and records
- Plan and conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer, regulatory, or certification), ensuring compliance and driving corrective actions when gaps are identified
- Use methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and improve product quality and process performance
- Investigate nonconformities, perform root cause analysis (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone), and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence
- Stay current with applicable industry regulations and standards, ensuring all processes and products meet compliance requirements
- Create, update, and manage quality procedures, work instructions, and policies to ensure consistency and standardization across operations
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure quality requirements are built into product design and manufacturing processes (e.g., PPAP, APQP)
- Develop, track, and analyze metrics such as defect rates, scrap, rework, and customer complaints to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and deliver training to ensure employees understand quality requirements, procedures, and best practices
- Address customer quality issues, lead root cause investigations, and work with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment
- Experience with electronics, aerospace, defense, or medical manufacturing preferred
- Clear understanding of SolidWorks drawings, BOM, and assembly steps
- Strong interest in managing manufacturing quality systems
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-moving production environment
- Experience with document management (maintaining corporate work instructions, KPI reporting, project management related)
- Good computer skills (Power BI) preferred
- Auditing experience (internal audits) preferred
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Physical requirements for the position, such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws):

- Primarily an office-based job, but with prolonged periods on the plant floor or warehouse area working in a manufacturing environment that may require walking, standing, etc., including operating a forklift
- Will spend time in an office environment, on a computer, or in meetings
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
- Must be able to work in variable weather conditions and in an environment with many noises
- Comfortable wearing appropriate PPE while in production and warehouse areas

“The compensation for this position will typically range from $80,500 -$149,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
