We are currently looking for an AP Accountant to join us in Pune, India. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on. 

We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accuracy and efficiency. You’ll be someone who can manage multiple priorities, communicate confidently with both suppliers and internal stakeholders, and maintain a strong focus on process quality and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for finance operations and accounts payable processes who enjoys working with systems, solving problems, and supporting business performance through accurate financial administration.

As an AP Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of Accounts Payable processes within a professional international business environment.

You’ll be responsible for invoice processing, vendor account reconciliation, payment preparation, and supplier communication while working closely with internal departments and supporting data accuracy across financial systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking, organisation, and communication within a collaborative finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounting and financial data accurately and efficiently
• Verify, administer, and post invoices in line with internal procedures
• Prepare and review payment proposals
• Manage Vendor Master Data updates and perform phone confirmations for sensitive changes
• Communicate with suppliers and internal departments via phone and email
• Work professionally within SAP and MDG systems
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor and clear GR/IR balances to ensure accurate matching of invoices and goods receipts
• Support continuous improvement and maintain high standards of financial accuracy and compliance

About you

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
• Higher education qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of SAP
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
