Join Our Team as a Materials Manager in our Lubbock, Texas Facility!
Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is seeking an on-site, day shift Materials Manager to be an integral part of our Lubbock Facility. This position is accountable for integrating production scheduling, warehouse operations, and shipping functions to ensure the efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the facility. The role balances production capacity, inventory levels, and customer delivery requirements, ensuring on-time performance, cost efficiency, and operational excellence across the supply chain.
This is a unique role with a growing, dynamic telecommunications company where you will utilize your prioritization skills. You will be responsible for balancing production schedules, inventory levels and customer demand, simultaneously. This role requires strong analytical decision-making using data from ERP systems, KPIs, and operational metrics.
About the role:

You will oversee end-to-end material flow, including inbound materials, production scheduling, inventory control, and outbound shipping.

Manage production scheduling activities, balancing customer demand, production capacity, and material availability to meet service levels.

Lead daily operations across warehouse, shipping, and scheduling teams, ensuring alignment to production plans and delivery requirements.

Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery, schedule adherence, inventory accuracy, productivity, and customer complaints, and drive continuous improvement actions.

Coordinate cross-functionally with production, procurement, customer service, and logistics to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely delivery.

Oversee inventory management, cycle counts, and material planning, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess or shortages.

Manage relationships with carriers and external vendors, including performance monitoring, cost management, and service level improvements.

Identify operational inefficiencies and implement lean practices, process improvements, and workflow enhancements across scheduling, warehousing, and shipping.

Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA), company policies, and regulatory requirements, fostering a strong safety culture.

Lead, coach, and develop team members across operations, including performance management, training, and workforce planning.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred

5–8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, scheduling, warehouse, or shipping

Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics, and production planning systems

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), MRP, and data analysis tools

Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience preferred

Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments

Prolonged standing/walking; ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Must follow PPE and safety requirements
What we offer:
The compensation for this position will typically range from $84,000- $155,500 annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
