The role
- Lead the Hot & Cold systems portfolio across Europe/Indonesia, with Germany as the priority market.
- Define the portfolio strategy, innovation roadmap, value proposition, pricing logic, and launch priorities for assigned systems.
- Translate technical system expertise, customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements into profitable growth and stronger market position.
- Act as the strategic link between Product Management, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations, and Certification.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Strategy
- Define and maintain the 3–5 year Hot & Cold systems portfolio roadmap, including lifecycle management, portfolio simplification, and service offering per market.
- Set strategic objectives for market position, growth, pricing, and value proposition, with Germany as the lead market.
Innovation and New Business Development
- Identify, initiate, and prioritize innovation and NPI projects based on customer needs, market trends, and regulatory developments.
- Build and drive business cases for development, investment, and launch, with accountability for sales, margin, and profitability.
- Lead and drive major technical development projects (e.g., new system platforms, product lines, or technologies) from concept to market, ensuring alignment between R&D, product strategy, and commercial objectives.
Commercial Enablement
- Define price positioning, value logic, launch planning, and sales enablement (training, tools, and messaging).
- Support key projects and strategic customers where technical expertise drives commercial success.
Leadership and Governance
- Lead cross-functional teams and major system development projects, ensuring delivery of strategic platforms and innovations aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure alignment across Product Management, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Finance, Operations, and Certification.
- Own standards and certification relevance for assigned product ranges.
The profile
Education
- Master’s degree preferred, or bachelor’s degree with strong analytical capability.
- Technical degree (engineering, building systems, mechanical, or similar).
- Additional business/marketing education strongly preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years in product management in a B2B environment.
- Experience in building systems, HVAC, plumbing, heating, or pipes & fittings.
- Proven track record in innovation, business case development, and product launches.
- Experience working in international and matrix organizations.
Skills
- Strong technical understanding of Hot & Cold systems and applications.
- Strategic product management (roadmap, lifecycle, pricing, value proposition).
- Commercial and financial acumen (margin, profitability, P&L orientation).
- Ability to translate market needs into product and business opportunities.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Fluent in English; German strongly preferred.
