We are currently looking for a Manager Global Technology & Innocation – Certification and Standardization B&I to join us in Dedemsvaart, the Netherlands. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

The Role

In this challenging global position, you are responsible for managing the process around Certification, Standardization and product Regulation in such a way that the position of Wavin will be strengthened and/or defended for the different products in piping system applications at local, regional, European and worldwide level with a strong link to regional companies and companies within Orbia.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be in charge of the management (initiation, development and maintenance) of standards for our products in piping systems and test methods.
• As the Global C&S Manager you coordinate the local Certification and Standardization activities.
• You are in charge of the management, development and maintenance of standards for applications where plastic piping systems are/can be used.
• You provide support and coordinate efforts for local quality marks and approvals for our products. 
• You will be influencing and creating awareness for global and local regulation related to our products and applications.
• You will be participating and representing Orbia Building & Infrastructure (Wavin) within branch organizations such as TEPPFA;
• You are a key player in building consensus with competition and construction regulators as well as complying with time frame limits.

Required education and experience:

• You have a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or civil engineering, Material Science or equivalent education. 
• You have several years' experience with Standardization, Certification and Product Regulation.
• You have several years' experience with Plastic piping systems application or testing
• You are comfortable in an international playing field and are good in conflict management, negotiation and effective delegation. 
• You bring a pro-active attitude; you have good time management skills and enjoy writing specific and detailed reports and presentations.
• You are a problem solver and are independent in your daily work.
• You bring good English skills (written and verbal), other languages such as Dutch are beneficial but not mandatory.
