We are currently looking for Digital Product Designer to join us in Amsterdam Schiphol, Wavin Netherlands B.V., an Orbia business. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Main purpose
The creation and maintenance of an appealing, cohesive, brand-consistent, easy-to-use user experience for internal and external audiences, across all B&I digital platforms.

Main responsibilities:
 Strategic Alignment:

• Partner with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align UX and design strategies with product goals, ensuring seamless integration into product roadmaps and KPIs.
• Incorporate business objectives, user needs, and technical constraints into design decisions.

Holistic Design Focus:

• Oversee both UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) design, focusing on the Digital journey from user flow to high-fidelity interfaces.
• Ensure designs are intuitive, functional, and visually engaging, balancing user needs with business goals.

Design System Ownership:

• Lead the creation, maintenance, and evolution of the design system to ensure consistency and scalability across digital platforms with focus on pattern library and UI Components.
• Define and document standards for reusable components, patterns, and visual design principles, serving as the go-to expert for the system.
• Partners with Global Marketing to ensure the design system aligns and complies with the Orbia B&I Brand Guidelines. 

User-Centered Design:

• Conduct user research, usability testing, and analytics reviews to inform and validate design decisions for website and webshop (Digital Platform).
• Focus on accessibility and inclusivity to create user-friendly experiences for diverse audiences.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with developers to ensure the implementation aligns with design intent.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of product designs, iterating based on feedback, user behavior data, and evolving business needs.

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s / master’s degree with 5+ years of experience in digital design. 
• Should have work experience in an (agile) product teams and / or complex organization in an international / cross cultural experience.
• Experience navigating both the consumer-facing (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) ecommerce and/or digital marketing landscapes
• Ability to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving digital landscape, understanding both the demand side—how users and companies interact with technology—and the supply side—emerging trends and innovative technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of software development processes, with focus to deliver outstanding platform products and driven by a strong curiosity to continuously learn and improve.
• Expert communication skills in English (Spanish is desirable) with ability to lead and influence by example.
• Collaborative nature with ability to work seamlessly with diverse stakeholders, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across the organization.
• Approach of putting the customer at the heart of design process, deeply understanding our user's needs, behaviors, and pain points to craft solutions that truly resonate with them.
• Naturally curious, keen to learn, and proactively go after new challenges
• Ability to solve complex problems and excel under pressure, finding creative ways to turn obstacles into opportunities.
• You bring fresh perspectives to the table, thinking beyond the conventional to generate impactful and original design solutions.
• Focus on delivering measurable outcomes, ensuring that designs drive user satisfaction, business growth, and long-term success.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, valuing diverse perspectives and fostering a culture of shared ownership and success.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into functional, user-friendly designs and effectively communicate these ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
