Social Impact and Engagement Specialist
Orbia is looking for a Social Impact and Engagement Specialist to be based at Mexico City!
Purpose
The Sustainability Reporting & Social Impact Specialist advances Orbia’s global sustainability and social impact agenda by leading the development and implementation of impact reporting, aligning and reporting on corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and managing stakeholder engagement across the organization. This role is responsible for the measurement and reporting of social impact, and ensuring the quality, consistency, and timeliness of sustainability communications and disclosures, overseeing the integration and continuous improvement of digital platforms and processes. Success in this position requires strong cross-functional collaboration, strategic project management, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment to maximize Orbia’s positive impact and reputation globally.
Main Responsibilities

Track, analyze, and report on social impact progress and KPIs—including contributions to UN SDGs—ensuring data quality, traceability, and readiness for third-party verification. Lead the community/social chapter of the annual impact report.

Manage and improve the donation approval process and platform, identifying opportunities for innovation and efficiency in social impact management.

Organize and facilitate Social Impact Working Group and CSR Working Group meetings, fostering collaboration, best practice sharing, and solution development across business groups.

Support community engagement, volunteering campaigns (e.g., Time 4 Water), and emergency relief initiatives, partnering with internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate on ESG questionnaire responses (e.g., CDP, EcoVadis), biodiversity and water frameworks, and support internal/external communications and public affairs on relevant social issues.

Lead and support the development, translation, and timely implementation of annual Impact Reports and related sustainability communications (in English and Spanish).

Coordinate the production, content collection, and engagement tracking for quarterly newsletters, special editions, and internal/external sustainability materials (e.g., SUS Hub, orbia.com), ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement.

Oversee and enhance the ESG Alerts process and manage the integration of digital platforms (such as Enhesa and DAP) to optimize workflows, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Continuously drive the professionalization and innovation of content, processes, and reporting for all sustainability and social impact initiatives.

Knowledge/ Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Communications, Environmental Sciences, International Relations, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Languages: Spanish (native), English (advanced).

3+ years in sustainability, social responsibility, or social impact management, ideally with exposure to both operational and strategic CSR/ESG work in a global company.

Skills in project management and cross-functional initiatives, data analysis, digital data management platforms, writing, and effective communication.

Demonstrated experience in developing, executing, and reporting on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or Social Impact strategies and programs ensuring data quality for third-party verification and alignment with frameworks such as GRI, IFRS, CDP, and EcoVadis.
