Internal Investigations Specialist
Global Functions, is looking for a Internal Investigations Specialist to be based at México City!
Purpose
Supporting Orbia’s global internal investigations program by independently handling complex investigations into ethics and compliance-related matters. As well as audit engagements related to control improvement and potential cost savings. This role ensures Orbia's values and Code of Ethics are upheld through thorough, timely, and objective investigations.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct fact-based internal investigations of fraud, bribery, conflicts of interest, financial misconduct, and other ethics and compliance violations.
Develop investigation plans and manage the end-to-end investigation process, including evidence collection, documentation review, interviews, and root cause analysis.
Ensure proper documentation and reporting of findings, maintaining a consistent and defensible record.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, HR, and Security teams to align on protocols and remediation strategies.
Contribute to case management efforts in the Ethics Helpline platform, ensuring timeliness and resolution quality.
Identify trends, repeat issues, or systemic gaps and escalate appropriately.
Support the delivery of investigation-related training and awareness sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in corporate investigations, audit, compliance, or forensic services. CFE is a plus.
Strong understanding of ethics, anti-corruption laws, internal controls, and risk frameworks.
Experience with case management systems and investigation tools.
Excellent analytical, interviewing, communication and report-writing skills.
Must be able to manage sensitive information remotely and frequent traveling for on-site investigation needs.
Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Language(s) and level of proficiency: Fluent English required; Spanish preferred; Portuguese is a plus.
