We are currently looking for a Senior Advisor for Germany to join us at our European team of professionals in Urban Climate Resilience. You can have an office in Twist or Remote in Germany. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on. 

The Role

We have embarked on an exciting journey to grow the Urban Climate Resilience (UCR) business within Wavin to tackle the climate change challenges. The aim is to expand our portfolio and move from component to solution provider, establishing a truly global commercial client approach.

To support our growth ambitions, we are looking for a Senior Advisor. Your role as a Senior Advisor is to combine engineering know-how with business sense to help our customers and internal sales teams. You will also be responsible for local business development through thought-leadership and by bringing client propositions earlier in the value chain. Your aim will be to shape the client vision in the market, create opportunities for us to sell the integrated Wavin solution, and support your customers through the design phase of their projects.

Your Responsibilities:

• You position Wavin as relevant partner for decision makers in the build environment
• You act as trusted advisor on climate resilience for our clients
• You are driving the execution of the UCR product-market strategy.
• You have the ability to design and calculate on project level (should be in profile)
• You guide and support the sales team to secure the achievement of our objectives in terms of market position, growth, and profitability
• You act as the technical point of contact for the sales team and customers, coordinate technical request and solve issues
• You build and share market intelligence – understanding of customers, markets, competitors, products, and applications;

Your Profile:

• You have a degree in a relevant field such as hydraulic engineering, civil engineering, urban planning, (landscape) architecture, or similar
• You bring several years of relevant professional experience as advisor or consultant.
• You are an experienced technical professional and have worked for example at engineering consultancies, architecture firms, or end-client’s engineering teams.
• You bring a strong technical background and experience in design, evaluation and construction of stormwater management or similar Urban Climate Resilience systems
• You inspire and transform client pains into demand – you have experience in interacting with clients on their technical level and a proven track-record of winning projects and understanding full project scopes.
• You are proficient with both CRM and project management.
• You have knowledge of the local market opportunities and challenges.
• You are a teamplayer, motivator and excellent communicator with an entreprenaurial drive.
