Job Title: Upstream Operator
Location: Tenille, GA 31089
Shift: 7:45PM to 8:00AM (2-2-3 shift rotation)
Pay: $18.25/hr plus $1.50/hr shift differential
Dura-Line is seeking an Upstream Operator to join our production team in Tennille, GA. In this role, you will ensure all required materials are correctly sourced, set up, and supplied to each line throughout the shift.
Position Details:

Starting Pay: $18.25 plus $1.50 shift differential

Referral Bonus: $500 after 90 days and $1000 after 180 days totaling $1,500.00 (for a candidate that is hired)

Work Environment: Manufacturing, Non-Climate Controlled, Variable Temperatures, Team Oriented, On-The-Job Training
Responsibilities:
-
Make minor repairs to equipment such as replacement of lube wands, cleaning filters, etc.

Monitor and maintain all lubrication equipment ensuring proper levels of lubricant are being dispersed.

Monitor the system to ensure proper levels of resin are made available on each line.

Makeup resin/regrind mix as required.

Pull tape onto floor, if tape feeders are not available, to ensure that any obstructions are removed from the tape path.

Make minor repairs to feed equipment, such as tightening loose rolls, adjusting feed rate to maintain proper tension, etc.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

Know and understand the material requirements (i.e. colorant, cable, tape, etc.) for each product being produced during the assigned shift.

Review the manufacturing order at the beginning of each shift to determine what materials are required.

Complete appropriate documentation to ensure accurate inventory transaction
Education and Experience Requirements:
-
At least 1 year of equipment/machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic extrusion experience a plus!)

Familiarity with using common measuring devices and hand tools.

Has experience with following work instructions and performing basic math calculations to track product quality

Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts and others equipment.
Occupational and/or Physical Requirements:
-
Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects

Must be able to wear all required PPE as necessary

Stand and walk long distances on the plant floor for 8 to 12 hours on a shift and work around hot machinery.

Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting and bending to operate and fix equipment
The compensation for this position will typically range from $18.25/hr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
