Dura-Line Offline Operator in St. Albert, AB CAN
Shift: Week 1: 4 day, 12-hour shift. Week 2: 3 day, 12-hour shift (3/2/2/3 schedule, 3 on 2 off, 2 on 3 off)
Pay starts at $24/hour. Plus $2.50 shift differential for night shift only
Dura-Line is looking for an experienced Line Operator to set up and operate HDPE extrusion lines, adjust/document operating conditions and ensure product is being made according to customer specification.
The Line Operator is responsible for physically operating an extrusion line in a way that ensures all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and are within manufacturing tolerances. The Line Operator is responsible for the quality of the product run and adjusts and documents operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe in a safe and efficient manner.
SAFETY is priority!!!! Safety Steel Toed Shoes are required (must be CSA approved). Shoe Reimbursement voucher provided upon start date.

Responsibilities:
- Accurate Paperwork Handling: Complete paperwork with precision, following all procedures and instructions meticulously.
- Equipment Operation: Utilize various equipment including hydraulic reeler, electric reeler, lift truck, table saw, rotor, and band saw to produce high-quality finished products.
- Physical Requirements: Physically parallel or coil ducts according to specifications, ensuring products meet the highest standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect products for quality non-conformance and promptly report any findings.
- Custom Reel Building: Create custom-built reels to meet coiling requirements.
- Cable Processing: Process cables according to specific requirements to ensure optimal functionality.
- Cosmetic Finishing: Paint and stencil reels for a polished and professional appearance.
- Collaboration: Assist the grinding crew in the disposal of scrap pipes.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep equipment clean and report any defects promptly.
- Work Area Management: Maintain a neat and orderly work area to enhance efficiency.
- Safety Focus: Adhere to all safety requirements for the position, supporting a secure work environment.
- Team Player: Provide assistance to supervisors and colleagues, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
- Flexibility: Perform additional duties as directed by management, showcasing adaptability and dedication to the team.
- Build 42” Plastic MD reels
- Build 96” Steel reels
- Build 120” reels
- Build 83” reels
- Grind 4” and 6” standard conduit on reels.
- Grind sticks and reels of scrap
- Pelletize 90k in regrind
- Grind reel returns

Requirements:
- Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- Educational Skills: Reading, writing, and mathematical competency.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking on hard or uneven surfaces in various weather conditions for the duration of the shift.
- Physical Strength: Capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Team Spirit: Willingness to support each function of the manufacturing process.
