Job Title: Plant Cleaner

Schedule: Negotiable, flexible.  Management reserves the right to create a schedule in the future.  

We are looking for a Plant Cleaner to support our Manufacturing operations.  This position will be responsible for the cleanliness, upkeep and custodial maintenance of all areas within the plant and offices.  The Plant Cleaner will perform standard janitorial and cleaning duties for the plant facility according to company standards and applicable safety measures.

This position has a negotiable flexible schedule reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.  We value the position to be able to create it’s own shift but it must meet the criteria for the schedule is as follows:

• Must be able to work between 28-40 hours per week (Sunday to Saturday)
• Schedule is open and must be provided at least 1 week in advance by the end of business hours Thursdays.
• Be available at least 1-2 weekend during the month.  

Responsibilities:

• Trash removal and dusting, cleaning and re-stocking supplies 

• General cleaning, sweeping, dusting, mopping and vacuuming floors in office areas, including restrooms, conference rooms and offices, and plant floor if applicable 

• Spot cleaning, polishing, sanitizing and wiping of surfaces 

• Restock items in bathrooms, break rooms, offices and conference rooms as necessary. 

• Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks as needed

• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements:

• Basic verbal and written English for Work Instructions 
• Able to follow simple entry & alarm instructions, as well as follow outlined cleaning instructions/checklists 
• Ability to work effectively in a team & individually 
• Able to operate standard cleaning equipment (manual and powered equipment)
• Support other memeber of the other teams as required
• Strong attention to detail in regards to cleanliness

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk throughtout all areas of the property (office, plant, parking lots, yard, etc.)
• Occasional climbing, reaching, squatting and bending to operate and fix equipment  
• Work in an environment that may be exposed to external elements (hot and cold temperatures) and occasional loud noises.  
• Capable of wearing required PPE (eyes, ears, feet, etc) for entire shift.   
• Able to lift and carry, push/pull up to 50 lbs. 

The compensation for this position will range from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
