We are currently looking for a Specialist Design Engineer ICS Heat Interface Unit to join us at Denmark, Wavin Denmark, an Orbia business. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
Main purpose
To develop, document, implement and maintain effective products through 3D design and validation. This is a territory role which will interact with Denmark, the Netherlands, Germany, UK, Norway, Sweden and Poland within the Wavin business. There will also be considerable interaction with the Wavin Global Business Unit (Indoor Climate Solution).
Main responsibilities:
Organization / management
- Plan, schedule and lead execution and completion of maintenance projects including scope, timeline, resource allocation and budget
- Monitor project process, identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to project goals, specifications, industry standards and safety regulations
Technical skillset
- Take ownership of design, engineering and construction phases of ICS product platforms
- Provide technical guidance
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards
- Prepare, review and approve technical drawings, specifications and calculations
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and regulatory authorities
- Maintain strong communication with sales teams to ensure project expectations are met
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Secure procurement involvement when preparing sourced components
Innovation NPI/CPI projects
- Take responsibility for project plan and time line
- Influence and implementation of LoR
- Manage projects budgets, control costs and ensure efficient resource utilization
- Prepare cost estimates and track project expenditures against budget
Our requirements:
- Bachelor in mechanical engineering or skilled craftsman with additional education
- Minimum of 5 years 3D design experience in a B2B organisation
- Experience in delivering according to stage gate planning
- Good communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors and stakeholders to deliver high- quality projects on time, within scope and budget
- Solid Works or other relevant 3D software
- High level problem solving, planning and analytical skills
- Knowledge/experience with machining in brass, plastics, sheet metal
- Knowledge or experience of working with EN standards
- Practical experience/knowledge of energy, energy optimization in heating systems
- Good oral and written English skills
- Generally good IT skills within MS Office, SAP, Solid Works
