Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for a Senior Regulatory Affairs Officer to be based at our office in Schiphol, Netherlands.

 

Job Purpose

Provide regulatory support for Mexichem Fluor EU BV to ensure that it meets its regulatory requirements. Understand and help manage the needs of external EU regulations, particularly REACH, F- gas and Customs, that apply to the sales of industrial refrigerants, medical products. Be the first point of contact with Dutch competent authorities related to these regulations, including developing and maintaining working relations and contacts in the relevant Dutch Governmental departments and European Commission Policy units. Develop and maintain good working relationships with relevant stakeholders.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • You will be working closely with the Regulatory Affairs Manager and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that Koura maintains suitable relations with Dutch and European Commission regulators and Policy Makers.
  • You will be the first point of contact to respond to questions, audit requests and initiate occasional communications e.g., due to F-gas reporting issues.
  • You will gain working knowledge of Koura’s F-gas obligations and compliance, including being the named representative in the Mexichem Fluor EU BV F-gas Registry account and be able to complete and submit F-gas Authorisation, Quota transfer requests, annual declaration, and F-gas reports.
  • You will operate our F-Gas data collection systems by:
    • Collecting the relevant data from internal stakeholders.
    • Inputting the data and maintaining the f-gas spreadsheet.
    • Reviewing stock adjustments and document the findings for audit purposes.
    • Communicating the live status with relevant stakeholders to take appropriate action.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Suitable qualification in chemical, environmental or another related technical subject

 

Knowledge/ Experience Required

  • Prior knowledge of regulatory compliance is desirable.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills, particularly Excel.
  • Influencing skills and a track record of working independently.
  • Experience working at a national and international level is desirable.
  • Experience working with Dutch competent authorities related to EU regulations, including developing and maintaining working relations and contacts in the relevant Dutch Governmental departments and European Commission Policy units is desirable.
  • Proven experience working with complex Excel spreadsheets.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
