Orbia is hiring for a Senior Director, ERP and Functions to be based in USA/EMEA working on a hybrid basis.
20-30% travel expected locally and internationally.
Main Purpose
The Senior Director, ERP and Functions is a strategic leadership role responsible for the vision, strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of the company's global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and core business applications. This role will partner with business leaders to drive digital transformation, optimize business processes, and ensure that the company's application landscape supports its strategic objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- ERP Strategy and Roadmap: Define and execute a global ERP strategy and multi-year roadmap that aligns with the company's overall business goals. Oversee the selection, implementation, and continuous improvement of ERP solutions.
- Application Portfolio Management: Manage the portfolio of enterprise-wide business applications, ensuring they meet business requirements, are cost-effective, and are integrated to provide seamless user experience.
- Program Leadership: Lead large-scale ERP and business system transformation projects, ensuring quality, budget control, and timely delivery.
- Business Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to business leaders in Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions to understand their needs and identify opportunities for technology-enabled process improvements.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with ERP vendors, system integrators, and other service providers to ensure service delivery excellence and contractual compliance. Facilitate alignment and engagement with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a global team of IT professionals responsible for the support, maintenance, and enhancement of ERP and business applications. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce governance processes for the ERP and business applications portfolio. Ensure all systems are compliant with relevant regulations and security standards.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual operating and capital budgets for the ERP and Functions team, ensuring investments are aligned with strategic priorities and deliver a strong return on investment.
- Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging technologies, evolving business needs and industry best practices in the ERP and business applications space. Drive a culture of continuous improvement to optimize the value derived from technology investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), Project Management (e.g., PMP/Prince2), and IT Service Management (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Knowledge/ Experience Required
- Minimum 15+ years in IT, with at least 8+ years in a leadership role overseeing ERP and business applications.
- Proven experience leading at least two full-cycle global ERP implementations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion).
- Strong functional knowledge of core business processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report).
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex project portfolios and budgets.
- Experience in a global manufacturing or similar industry is preferred.
