We are currently looking for a Sustainability Manager EMEA to join us at our office in Schiphol, the Netherlands. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
The Role
Orbia Building & Infrastructure is uniquely positioned to help our customers address water & energy challenges, by offering sustainable customer solutions for water supply, sanitation, climate-resilient cities & better building performance. Sustainability is an integral part of our commercial proposition and embedded in our value chain. As Sustainability Manager EMEA you are responsible for steering and implementing Orbia B&I sustainability programs in EMEA. You will support the Business Units in EMEA to integrate sustainability into our commercial offerings, in addition to implementing the Orbia and Orbia Building & Infrastructure sustainability strategy into the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- You are defining the sustainability roadmap, program and targets for Orbia Building & Infrastructure EMEA.
- You will be supporting the ongoing embedding of sustainability with a focus on sustainability solutions, low impact operations and community engagement.
- You are driving the identified improvement projects, stepping-in where needed to ensure results are delivered.
- You will manage and continuously improve sustainability data collection for EMEA, in line with internal and external reporting standards.
- You act as an ambassador for the organization; present the achievements to internal and external stakeholders in an inspiring way.
- You are educating and training the commercial teams on the value of sustainability in customer propositions.
- You will be developing a sustainability network, ensuring that Orbia B&I has access to the latest developments in Sustainability;
- You are supporting the Director Global Sustainability Director with developing and implementing global projects across all regions.
Required education and experience:
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
- You have several years' experience in a comparable position or related field.
- You are comfortable in an international playing field and are good in conflict management, negotiation and effective delegation.
- You bring a proactive attitude; you have good time management skills and enjoy writing precise and detailed reports and presentations.
- You are a familiar with sustainability reporting and reporting systems.
- Experience with manufacturing or production processes is beneficial
- You bring good English skills (written and verbal), additional languages such as Dutch are beneficial but not mandatory.
