Dura-Line is hiring an experienced & passionate Quality Manager in our Salt Lake City, UT, Manufacturing plant

 

Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Quality Manager for our SLC, UT manufacturing facility. This crucial role involves leading Quality Assurance processes, implementing lean manufacturing initiatives, and fostering a culture of unwavering compliance with quality standards. We are looking for a change agent ready to make a substantial impact and drive long-term success through strategic focus and effective leadership. 

 

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Oversee quality technicians across all shifts, promoting proper problem-solving and statistical techniques for root cause analysis. 

  • Utilize data-driven approaches to implement corrective actions, reducing scrap production and customer complaints. 

  • Investigate and create deployable quality assurance processes to address capability, tolerance, and material-related issues. 

  • Conduct benchmarking with other sites and implement action plans for effective resolution. 

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and control of FMEA, ensuring robust plans are in place. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, lead, and improve operational processes. 

  • Coach and mentor employees, building their capabilities and participating in succession planning and skill development. 

  • Develop processes and core tools, including APQP & Control Plans, Process Flows, SPC, MSA, and more. 

  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) Improvement: Co-responsible for improvements in OEE through collaboration with technical team members. 

  • Audit Support: Support external and internal audit schedules and conduct internal process layer audits. 

 

Experience and Expertise: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required (chemical or mechnical preferred)

  • Around 8-10+ years of related work experience as an experienced quality manager in a lean manufacturing plant; experience in automotive, aerospace, food & beverage, plastics, industries is a huge plus! 

  • Proven track record in implementing quality assurance processes  

  • Previous internal auditor background and familiarity with ISO standards. 

  • Experience with controlled document system ownership and working with a certified QMS. 

  • Strategic and result-focused mindset to synthesize data and provide recommendations for compliant paths forward. 

  • Hands-on role requiring agility, servant leadership, and engagement at the plant. 

  • Must be independent and take the initiative to drive improvements. 

  • Develop standard work, maintain, and create work instructions, SOPs, and training guides for the team. 

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with ERP or SAP systems is a plus! 

 

What We Offer You for Your Hard Work: 

The compensation for this position will typically range from $88,000-$143,000 annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.   

The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
