EHSS Manager – Dura-Line | Salt Lake City, UT

Dura-Line, an Orbia business, is seeking a passionate and experienced Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) Manager to lead safety and environmental initiatives at our Salt Lake City manufacturing site.
In this critical role, you’ll serve as the EHSS functional expert—working closely with plant leadership to build a strong, proactive safety culture, ensure compliance with federal and local regulations, and drive continuous improvement in environmental and workplace safety practices.
This position is accountable for implementing corporate and business EHSS programs at a plant location and acting as an advocate for plant and corporate Dura-Line/Orbia concerning EHSS compliance programs, and customizing programs to the specific operations of the plant. To promote and ensure the implementation of the plant-level EHSS systems and support overall company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, implement, and improve EHSS programs across the site with a focus on zero harm and sustainability.
- Champion a culture of safety through employee engagement, coaching, recognition, and accountability.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, safety training, and accident investigations with actionable follow-up.
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulations; manage reporting (Tier II, SWPPP, EPCRA, etc.).
- Analyze EHSS data to identify trends, track KPIs (TTIR, LTIR, near misses), and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with operations teams on process safety (PSM), hazard corrections, and behavioral safety.
- Support all shifts and adapt schedule to maintain consistent safety presence and leadership.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-10+ years in a site EHSS roles in manufacturing operations, including safety or environmental administration and project management.
- Aware of federal compliance EHS/OSHA/EPA regulations and standards. SWPPP, EPCRA, EPA TIER II, basic industrial hygiene, conservation program. EHS certifications like ASP/CSP preferred.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
- Strong communication, leadership, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.
- Capable of training employees and able to write reports, work instructions, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; government reporting Tier II
- Experience with objective accident investigations for all accidents and near miss occurrences, analyze injury trends, and coordinate corrective actions
- Ability to work on the plant floor and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable wearing PPE and working in variable conditions.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $88,000-$143,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
