SAP Customer and Vendor Master Data Analyst

Dura-Line LLC. is currently seeking to hire an SAP Customer and Vendor Master Data Analyst for the expanding scope of our Global Master Data Team. The role is a dynamic and intricate position that plays a vital role in our organization’s success. You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining a wide array of master data objects in SAP, such as Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, Finance Master, and Parent/Child Hierarchy. This requires a deep understanding of various software tools and systems, including SAP ECC 6.0, Smartsheets, SAP Central Finance, and more.

 

Your work will have a broad geographical scope, involving global collaboration with teams from Engineering, Production, Commercial, Finance, Treasury, and Operations on new developments and regulatory requirements. This cross-functional interaction necessitates excellent communication skills and the ability to indirectly influence others to achieve data integrity and governance standards.

 

You will need to comprehend the complexities of data flags and components, ensure data quality and completeness, and maintain comprehensive audit trails. Your ability to analyze and solve SAP system issues quickly will be crucial. Additionally, you will support the global team in identifying critical data standards and ensuring the highest levels of data governance across all critical fields.

 

In essence, this role demands a detail-oriented, quick learner with strong analytical capabilities who can navigate and manage complex data systems while fostering global collaboration and upholding stringent data governance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

    • Understand master data creation/enhancement/maintenance pertaining to multiple master data objects in SAP.  Those objects include Material Master, Customer Master, Vendor Master, Finance Master, Parent/Child Hierarchy, and additional areas related to master data.
    • Knowledge of software like SAP ECC 6.0, Smartsheets, SAP Central Finance, Dun & Bradstreet, IRS Website (US), VAT/Bank Check Registration, Salesforce, ServiceNow and Ethixbase​
    • Ability to understand various data flags and components of each master data object and how they relate to downstream SAP processes and transactions
    • Ability to maintain a full audit trail of critical master data changes and handle internal audit queries, as necessary
    • Review master data (material, customer, vendor, & finance master data) objects for quality, completeness, and overall integrity of key master data elements and provide remediation recommendations for data cleansing
    • Supports Global and Regional teams’ collaboration with Engineering, Production, Commercial, Finance, Treasury, and Operations team members on new plant developments, new product enhancements, new regulation requirements for tax/legal requirements, etc.
    • Supports the Global and Regional teams in identifying critical data and document standards to ensure all critical fields maintain the highest level of data governance
    • Knowledge of major Functional Modules of SAP (e.g., OTC, PTP, FI, CO) and their integration with each other
    • Knowledge of master data domains, LSMWs, Data Dictionaries, and SAP Tables
    • Quick learner with strong analytical skills and proven ability to solve SAP system/computer problems​

 

Skills and/or Experience Requirements:

 

    • 2-3 years of relevant experience in SAP Master Data Management and Governance in a multinational environment.
    • Knowledge of SAP S/4 ECC; knowledge of SAP MDG and SAP HANA is a plus
    • Understanding of SAP MDG, including Material, Customer, Vendor, and Financial Master Data models, Central Finance, workflows, data replication, and integration
    • Experience in supporting complex testing scenarios across an MDM landscape
    • Understanding of business processes (Purchase to Pay, Demand to Supply, etc.) and the impact of master data on these processes
    • Familiarity with end-to-end SAP Master Data Management systems and Business Analytics solutions.
    • Experience in participating in data-related implementation projects is preferred
    • Understanding of Data Architecture, Data Modelling, or Data Migration is advantageous

“The compensation for this position will typically range from $84,000 -$137,000/yr.  The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

 

 The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
