We are currently looking for a Senior Manager - Key Accounts to join us at any of our locations in the United Kingdom or Remote. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
 

The role
You will lead, support and develop your team of Key Account Managers and ensure that the Merchant Sales Channel is well managed and in line with the Company Sales and Marketing objectives. You also will ensure the growth of existing sales, develop range extension as well as train merchant staff and convert competitor stockist to Wavin ranges.
You are in a leading role in Major Key Account negotiations to enable profitable growth as well as retain existing distribution and developing fresh business and growth opportunities. You and your team are key in ensuring the Merchant Key Accounts activity is delivered and that the project tracking team is delivering on their key objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • You act as a signatory for all contract pricing above the Sales Manager level.
  • You are delivering profitable growth within the Wavin product ranges
  • You plan, lead, support and advise on all senior level negotiations within all the Key Account Groups.
  • You develop and implement the UK sales strategies to grow specified products in line with overall strategy.
  • To be successful at leading your team in line with business procedures through:
    • Recruitment
    • On-boarding
    • Development
    • Appraisal
    • Performance management
    • Termination
  • You ensure that your team manage their relationships with internal departments and employees positively, skillfully and effectively.
  • You develop and maintain commercial terms authorization procedures.
  • You assist in the development of support materials including technical and sales aids.

 

Profile:

  • You are a person with sound commercial awareness of the building products and construction industries.
  • You have a strong understanding of the business’ product portfolio and a large network of appropriate contacts.
  • You are proficient with CRM and Project Management.
  • You are experienced in operating in a extremely driven Health and Safety environment
  • You have excellent training, coaching and people management credentials.
  • You have strong, precise sales forecasting acumen.
  • You are a skillful negotiator and have the ability to negotiate agreements at a national level.
  • You have verifiable ability to drive a data led, action orientated plan to successfully drive a Sales team.
  • You bring good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • You have excellent numerical, analytic and oral reasoning skills and you communicate with impact.
  • You exercise confidentiality and discretion, where required.
