We are currently looking for a Mould Operator - Chippenham to join us. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

The Role

 

Operate and control the day-to-day machine and packing activities of the production cell to achieve the planned production, quality and Health & Safety objectives. 

To set and start injection moulding machines producing plastic building products to company with BS & ISO standards.

To set and start automated product handling and packaging equipment.

Working to the production plan, ensure machines produce at standard output and meet the required quality expectations.

Provide support to departmental team Leader through production improvement plans to ensure all site objectives are implemented, monitored and continually improved within the Chippenham site.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Work safely (Basic Health & Safety Training)
  • Cycle times to target.
  • Exceptions reported to the departmental Team Leader.
  • All non-conforming incidents reported and relevant paperwork completed with Team Leader.
  • Behavioural and safety audits completed to plan.
  • To complete Peer to Peer audits.
  • Ensure all production and process recording systems are completed accurately.
  • Ensure that issues are being highlighted to the appropriate support function.
  • All production figures are captured accurately as required – SAP booking accuracy.
  • Complete quality checks and visual inspection
  • Attendance and participation demonstrated in site improvement teams.
  • Undertake training courses as identified by departmental Supervision.  

Profile

 

  • General secondary education.
  • Experience within a Production environment - Essential
  • Experience of Injection Moulding - Desirable
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Previous SAP experience – Desirable
