Enterprise Voice Senior Engineer

Job Summary/ Purpose

The Digital Workplace Enterprise Voice Senior Engineer will provide technical assistance and expertise in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise voice components within the defined framework and standards. The role will focus on the innovative solutions, delivering business value towards the organization and optimizing existing processes across Orbia’s environment globally.

 

This role will work closely with Orbia’s Infrastructure Teams internally to set common understanding around the enterprise voice architecture especially looking from the IT security and network perspective.

The role will play crucial role in designing and managing of the VoIP features like call management systems, video conferencing and other telephony applications. It will also focus on performance of the existing solutions seeking for improvement opportunities to deliver best-in-class work environment.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and implement architecture for Enterprise Voice solutions with primary focus on Microsoft Teams, ensuring they meet business requirements and industry best practices, including security and compliancy towards the organization policies and regulatory needs.
  • Lead the deployment of Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice solutions across multiple geographic locations, ensuring high availability, reliability, and scalability.
  • Integrate digital workplace technologies with adjacent technologies (identity, security, vulnerability management, IT service and asset management, remote access, backup, directory services, etc).
  • Execute digital workplace technology projects.
  • Actively participate in resolving high-priority outages, troubleshooting efforts, and capacity/availability planning sessions.
  • Cooperate with security teams to ensure implementation of the security requirements and best practices in the product.
  • Conduct regular performance testing and monitoring of the Teams Voice environment, optimizing as necessary for peak performance.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing and deploying Enterprise Voice solutions with main focus on Microsoft Teams Telephony at a global scale.

 

Knowledge/ Experience Required

  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams including voice routing, security, and compliance features.
  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols, SIP trunking, and PSTN connectivity options.
  • Experience with network assessments and troubleshooting tools for voice and video in a WAN/LAN environment.
  • Proficient in creating detailed Low-Level Design (LLD) documents and technical project documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Teams, Network, or Voice technologies are highly desirable.
  • Experience with a continuous engineering or other agile methods to keep pace with frequent changes and to reduce complexity and experience using automation to drive continuous improvement.
