The role 
You will be part of the purchasing/planning team located in Hardenberg. You will report to the Supervisor BU Western Europe and be active for the Benelux & Germany region. You fulfill an important link between Wavin and its suppliers. In your role you will use your analytical and process skills together with your knowledge to come to an optimal availability for trade-products and components (for production). Simultaneously you will guard the sevice level, the total and landed costs and inventory management. You are pro-active, self-reliance is evident. Your communications skills are excellent. Focus will be on continuously improving. 

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities 

  • Creating orders to external Vendors or Call off orders based on delivery time, MOQ, current stock with the balance between availability, costs and delivery conditions. 
  • Manage direct shipments (3rd party deliveries) 
  • Manage orders for specials (fittings / inspection chambers)  
  • Check order confirmations (prices, delivery times and conditions).  
  • Monitoring open purchase orders and identify possible stagnations. 
  • Monitor stock levels, availability, obsolescence stock and associated actions. 
  • Maintain master data for optimal usage in SAP/Continuously review and update master data correctness (by using SAP – BO / MDG) 
  • Ensuring the outsourcing of production steps (Subcontracting), plan with third parties and monitor these.  
  • Sparring partner for Strategic Procurement (review External Vendors) and product managers 
  • Maintain close contact with production planning, sales, logistics, finance and product management. Participate in cross functional meetings. 
  • Problem Solving (escalation to Supervisor and/or Strategic Procurement) 
  • Participating in Quality improvement processes 
  • Improve Operational Purchaser job(s) 
  • Analytical and reporting 
  • Complaints and Claim handling. Handling incorrect Vendor Invoices. 

 

We are looking for someone who:  

  • Has a MBO+ degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or Purchasing (NEVI I); 
  • 2-5 years’ experience in a purchasing /production / supply chain environment 
  • Active knowledge of logistics processes 
  • Good analytical and communication skills 
  • Proactive attitude and target orientated. 
  • Result driven. 
  • Accurate and service oriented 
  • MS Office (excel) and ERP/SAP knowledge. 
  • Team player
