The role

We are currently looking to recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias), to out planned maintenance activities in line with equipment and schedule attainment taking into consideration any legal requirements. This role will report into the Maintenance Team Leader will support the shift engineers to maintain plant and equipment, customer service and required OEE.

 

Responsibilities

  • To operate in line with all Wavin H&S standards and embrace and contribute to the Wavin ISRS Safety Programme.
  • Implement and adhere to safe working practices in accordance with legislation.
  • To advise and assist the Production Team to ensure that all products are made to the highest possible yield and product quality standards.
  • To ensure that the efficiency of the process is maintained at all times.
  • To undertake electrical and mechanical engineering activities and assist in planned and unplanned work.
  • To participate in all training programs including the training of others.
  • Drive continuous improvement across site.
  • Be involved with project work as and when required.
  • Accompany contractors to facilitate work.
  • Help implement workplace organisation within the Engineering department. 

 

Profile

  • ONC qualified
  • A time served multi-skilled engineer with an electrical bias 
  • Process the ability to work with pneumatic & hydraulic controls and read electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings
  • 24v to 415 v circuits and controls etc
  • Proficient working with heavy machinery both electrical and mechanical disciplines
