Shipping Supervisor – Dura-Line | Mountain Grove, Missouri

Dura-Line, an Orbia business, is seeking a passionate and experienced Shipping Supervisor to lead logistics and a shipping team at our Mountain Grove manufacturing site.
As a valued member of our team, you will plan, direct, coordinate and control the shipping, receiving and warehouse activities in assigned work areas to achieve established management goals.
In this role you will manage vendors from different geographical regions with various financial and legal conditions and the level and impact of decisions the occupant needs to make, manages revenue, CAPEX, Sales, etc. You will have the opportunity to support and implement corporate initiatives and directives through indirect influence with the leadership team.
This position is Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm (hours may vary depending on shipping needs for the day)
Key Responsibilities:

Oversees and manages daily operations such as receiving, shipping and warehousing of Dura-Line products

Manage the relationships with our freight/parcel carriers to ensure shipments are coordinated for pickup each day

Assist with order modifications and cancellations by providing support to warehouse staff

Ensure effective employee communications/relations, including coaching staff, and providing open communication and leadership

Balance quality, safety, morale, productivity and cost to achieve positive results in all areas

Maintaining key material inventory levels

Manage and improve reel return process/program

Implement 5S activities that improve efficiency and effectiveness

May support material team with inventory cycle count program and year end WIP counts.

KPI: Productivity, labor utilization, On Time Delivery, Customer Complaints, TRIR, OSHA Recordables
What You’ll Need:
-
BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience, including experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity, or a High School diploma with an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must speak, read and write English fluently, Bi-Lingual a Plus!

Knowledge/Experience:
-
4 years of firsthand experience in supply chain/logistics in a manufacturing environment
-
Experience overseeing and monitoring shipping, purchasing, multiple projects and issue Purchase requisitions, etc.

Knowledge of shipping and receiving managing process, distribution process, logistics issues, delivery tracking.

Demonstrated experience with lean production, process improvement tools, Kaizen, LMS, etc.

Safety mentality and able to foster a safety culture and possessing basic OSHA knowledge.

Computer tech savvy (word, Excel, PPT, Outlook, Teams), ERP systems knowledge, SAP experience is a plus.

Physical requirements for the position:
-
Prolonged periods on the plant floor or warehouse area working in a manufacturing environment that may require walking, standing, etc including operating a forklift.

Will spend time in an office environment, on a computer and in meetings.

Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds with or without reasonable assistance
-
Must be able to work in variable weather conditions (indoors and outdoors) and in an environment with many noises
-
Comfortable wearing the appropriate PPE while in production, shipping yard and warehouse areas.

The compensation for this position will typically range from $62,000-$101,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
