Regional Process Engineering Manager

This role oversees the support process engineering efforts across US & Canada by leading Monthly Engineering Forum, New Product Introduction (NPI), mentoring plant engineers while develping and documenting process product knowledge for key areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the support of Regional Process Improvement events through capability trials or experiments.
- Examples:
- New Resin Evaluations
- New processing technique or parameters
- Extrusion layer and bill of materials optimization
- Evaluation of new technology for introduction into Plants
- Lead the support of Safety and Quality with incident root cause investigations and corrective action for regionally common processes. For example:
- KWS Winder movements
- Raw Material Development
- Lead monthly regional engineering group forum
- Guide the development of plant process engineeers through training, mentorship and projects
- Direct the support of NPI by maintaining product and speed capability by plant and line
- Oversee the support of SAP Master Data maintenance PFDC development
- Coordinate engineering projects with plant teams, delgating to a project leader at the plant
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Maintain technical expertise on plant products and operations across a large region
- Facilitate regional rollout and adoption of corporate programs via indirect team influence
- Works with plant engineering, operations and cross functional groups including Master Data, commercial and product management, Project Management Office, and others as needed.
- May oversee larger and more complex sites and/or more than one facility
- Navigate multiple priorities with short notice
- Define ambiguous initiatives into actionable tasks
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Plastic's Engineering or equivalent 15 plus years of work experience.
- Master's Degree preferred
- Must be able to read, write and speak English, bi-lingual a plus!
- 10 years experience in manufacturing engineering management, preferably in plastic extrusion
- Six Sigma or similar data driven knowledge and experience
- Root Cause problem solving experience
- SAP and data management knowledge
- Strong communication and organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods on the plant warehouse floor in a manufacturing environment
- Office environment, spending time in virtual or in-person meetings
- Requires walking, standing, bending and stooping
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs with or without reasonable assistance
- Comfortable wearing the required PPE while in production and warehouse areas

The compensation for this position will typically range from $126,500-$234,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
