Line Operator-Day Shift

Our Line Operators are essential to our success. You will operate equipment and prepare items for distribution. You will work alongside a team of production workers to ensure our products are produced at the optimal level. You will physically operate an extrusion line in a way that ensures all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and are within manufacturing tolerances. You are responsible for the quality of the product run and adjusts/documents operating conditions to produce the highest attainable quality of pipe in a safe and efficient manner.

Day shift:         8am-8pm

 

Pay Rate:  $19.50/HR

 

This is what you’ll do: 

*Properly monitors extrusion production including produced product, equipment, performs quality checks on product and maintains the coiling area
*Assist to start reels, set up and monitors product for quality and conformity
*Monitors operating parameters of product and extrusion equipment to confirm that product materials and quality requirements are being met
*Maintains accurate documentation of all product dimensions on production reports and accurately tracks “Lost Production Hours” including the reasons for lost time
*Ensures pipe is marked with proper print line as specified in the quality manual
*Follows all company-standard and position-specific safety requirements, and reports any unsafe working conditions or broken equipment
*Follows and complies with all company policies and procedures
*Performs any other duties assigned by the Supervisor and/or Production Manager

 

This is what it takes: Educational Requirements
*1-year extrusion or manufacturing experience preferred
*Ability to read and write English, with an ability to perform simple math, and take measurements, Bi-Lingual a Plus!
**Nice to have: Working knowledge of extruders, printers, reelers, quality control standards, and product specifications

 

Occupational and/or Physical Requirements
*Understanding of paperwork procedures and documentation requirements
*Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance
*Ability to spend up to 12 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery (continental)
*Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects
