Financial Compliance Associate

Orbia is looking for a Financial Compliance Associate, to be based out of Mexico (Remote).

Main Purpose:

• Primarily support testing of Financial Internal Controls implemented in the Corporate offices and each Business Group.
• Perform other functions such as support training of controls implemented, preparation of training documents and monitor Q&A, testing of implemented controls.
• Support maintaining controls of the SOX System, as an Administrator.

Main Resoponsibilities:

• Primarily support testing of Financial Internal Controls implemented in the Corporate offices and each Business Group.
• Perform other functions such as supporting training of controls implemented, preparation of training documents and monitor Q&A.
• Support maintaining controls in the AuditBoard system.
• Support other Financial Compliance Office initatives.

Education Required:

• Minimum: University Accounting Graduate
• Desirable: Audit or Accounting Background

Knowledge Required:

• Ability to evaluate Accounting Principles,  assess control evidence and compliance with Internal Controls.
• Ability to execute on a pre-defined control test program completing the required attributes relating to the internal control assessment.
• These are knowledge that would be gained by a Accounting Graduate as well as participation in the Orbia Student Program or other student program.
• Service Oriented, fast learner and able to write, understand and speak english fluently.
• Able to communicate with all levels of the organization.

Experience Required:

• Engaged in junior accounting and external auditing roles for a brief period.

Languages Required:

•  Spanish Native and Fluent English (Read/Write/Verbal Communication).
