We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager (Heat Networks) – ICS UK to join our team across the UK. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.

Reporting to the Manager – Commercial ICS UK, the Business Development Manager (Heat Networks) – ICS UK will be responsible for the growth of sales of the Indoor Climate Solutions (ICS) business unit, focusing on Heat Interface Units and the heat network orientated value within the ICS offer, also consisting of heating and cooling which includes the following categories:

 

Focus will be placed on technical concept and solution selling to specifying consultants, residential construction developers, builders and large installers. Making sure our Wavin services are leveraged (building design and calculation) and our solutions get specified, ordered and used in the residential construction process.

 

The role

  • Responsible for achieving profitable sales growth of the ICS business unit with a specific focus on heat networks, HIU, and the wider ICS portfolio
  • Become a trusted advisor and partner for specifiers, residential developers, builders and installers ICS segments
  • Play a key role in executing the commercial country plan, translating it into account development plans and commercial action projects at target customer segments
  • Proactively seeks and realizes new business opportunities
  • Works in collaboration with the Wavin Sales teams to leverage national account relationships to ensure alignment and execution of commercial initiatives
  • Utilizes CRM as a tool to manage the commercial business. Keeps their customer accounts updated, logs regular F2F meetings for target accounts and shares account development progress
  • Shares key insights for both short- and long-term commercial opportunities and challenges, pipeline management
  • Works in close co-operation with our technical managers and building design and calculation experts to leverage our technical and digital expertise (CAD, BIM) and service offering in the sales process
  • Proactively supports or involves colleagues of other relevant Wavin product categories in their sales process; to enable cross-sales with other business units (e.g. domestic drinking water, wastewater and/or rainwater solutions)

The profile

 

  • Proven ability (5-10 years’ experience approx.) in consultative selling of technical solutions and concepts
  • Holds a strong network of decision makers, influencers and customers active in the UK heat networks market
  • Opportunistic and commercial savvy with the ability to inspire people
  • Experience in controlled mechanical ventilation or related indoor climate business segments, with knowledge on technical specifications market standards, quality and legislation (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to act tactfully in a complex environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
