Maintenance Planner

As part of the Alphagary team, you will plan and coordinate tasks to accomplish the proactive preventive maintenance plan, Cost and quote materials, parts, equipment and services to provide purchasing with best business and cost options. Support the maintenance department, setting up and managing the SAP maintenance module and work order system, production purchasing requirement, and various other tasks supporting the Leominster team.
You will:
- Plan and coordinate activities for the Maintenance Team in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance. Develop and monitor plans to achieve targets related to Preventative Maintenance completion rate, reduced downtime, and progress of department. Set schedules, track progress, and make adjustments as needed.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities of the Maintenance technicians as well as planning activities/projects days, weeks, or months in the future.
- Facilitate safety, quality and best efficiency by minimizing waste and maximizing production and maintenance through strong leadership and communication skills.
- Work with purchasing to expedite parts orders and deliveries to help improve Efficiency, Cost Savings, Quality, and Safety.
- Investigate and learn new options and improvements to enhance reliability of plant assets utilizing continuous improvement strategies.
- Coordinate and work toward efficient, timely resolution of equipment / production downtime by closely working with the Maintenance Team, Operations, Management, and Production Scheduling
- Schedule daily plant, equipment, and facility inspections to assure safe and efficient operation
- Investigate, propose changes and work with plant management for improvement of working conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of operation.
- Plan and maintain time and maintenance asset records.
- Maintain a clean work area; perform routine housekeeping to ensure safety and organization of parts, work orders, etc. Identify and work with Plant Management to resolve safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Set up and manage the SAP Maintenance Module; work closely with IT to ensure accuracy. Implement scheduled work order request through the system and ensure parts, time and labor are accurately captured.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in industrial management, MIS or other equivalent degree or experience.
- 5 of experience in planning, maintenance work order systems and/or process/project management. 3-5 years of experience in maintenance systems, inventory, and preventative maintenance scheduling a plus.
- Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or maintenance

- Familiarity with ISO 9000, TS 16949, Lean or Six Sigma preferred
The compensation for this position will typically range from $65,000 – 78,000/yr (or post the hourly starting rate). The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
