We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator for our Henry, IL site. This role is responsible for ensuring all outbound shipments from the La Porte, Henry, Dalton, and Cartersville warehouses are dispatched on time and accurately processed through Post Goods Issue in SAP. The position will maintain precise inventory control for assigned warehouses, coordinate daily activities with external warehouse administrators to ensure timely deliveries, and create freight reserves efficiently and accurately. The Logistics Coordinator will also ensure warehouse operations remain compliant with internal controls, company policies, and standard operating procedures.

About the Role

  • Ensure all outbound shipments have a completed Post Goods Issue (PGI) in SAP no later than one day after the material leaves each warehouse.
  • Execute weekly cycle counts at the Henry warehouse and ensure accuracy of recorded inventory.
  • Verify that all deliveries have a completed Post Goods Issue (PGI) by month‑end closing
  • Generate on-time delivery KPIs for all warehouses
  • Ensure warehouse operations meet compliance requirements and adhere to company policies, procedures, and service quality standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to support all audit requests.
  • Provide data and support to address and resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensure effective inventory control across warehouses, including monitoring slow‑moving products, performing reconciliations, and managing scrap processes.
  • Coordinate and support special logistics projects as assigned.
  • Ensure carriers pick up product at the warehouses according to the scheduled SAP program.
  • Ensure compliance with on‑time delivery requirements.
  • Adhere to and promote all company Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety standards, ensuring warehouse and logistics operations comply with all regulatory and internal safety requirements.

 

Role Challenges:

  • Oversee regional logistics operations for the La Porte, Henry, Dalton, and Cartersville warehouses, ensuring consistent performance and compliance across all sites.
  • Guarantee on‑time delivery of finished products to customers by coordinating with carriers and logistics suppliers.
  •   Guarantee the carriers pick up the product on requested date.
  • Supervise activities related to the management of MSR materials handled by the external warehouse administrator.
  • Ensure inventory receipts and issues are processed accurately and on time.
  • Assist with forecast inputs and customer complaint investigations; ensure action plans are implemented and responses provided within 30 days.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to internal customer requests, ensuring high service quality.
  • Provide accurate data for the creation of KPIs related to MSR operations and the assigned warehouse.

 

What You Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Additional Language(s) and level of proficiency: Spanish; bilingual communication is beneficial for cross‑regional coordination.
  • Knowledge/Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics or a related operational role.
  • Experience managing inventories and warehouse operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

“The compensation for this position will typically range from $60,000 -$80,000/yr.  The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

 

The compensation package may also include short- and long-term incentive compensation.
