We are currently looking for a national Key Account Manager (KAM) to join our Key Accounts team. Reporting to the Upstream Sales Leader for the UK and Ireland, the KAM for Residential Developers will be responsible for growing revenue with Wavin UK’s existing & new customer base of residential developers, developing our social housing and apartment specification business and identifying and developing new product and/or market opportunities in the residential sector.
Some of the main duties and responsibilities of the role are to:
- Operate as the business expert for social housing and apartment developers
- Develop and execute plans to increase Wavin’s share of the national housebuilder market
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to develop sales to regional developers
- Collaborate with strategic growth segment teams to grow ICS and UCR sales to developers
- Negotiate renewals and new developer agreements
- Identify and develop new product/market opportunities with our Marketing/Product Management teams
The profile:
We are keen to hear from applicants who can demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience with specification sales to residential developers
- Knowledge and experience selling to the apartment and social housing markets
- Strong sales and project management experience
- Good negotiator with excellent persuading and influencing skills
- Strong understanding of Wavin Customer base and their trading models
- Detailed understanding of Wavin product portfolio and its route to market
- Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people at all levels both internally and externally
- Good understanding of SMART goals and objectives with knowledge of KPI reporting to manage outcomes
- Experience within the facets of business development, project management and development and people leadership
Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record working in the manufacturers of building product environment and enjoy working as part of a larger team. Extremely driven, they’ll have ideally previously worked within a target driven commercial focused environment.
The role requires a flexible approach to working hours and environment to allow delivery of specific business objectives. Due to geographical opportunities, the role involves regular travel by car and therefore possession of a full UK driving licence is essential. Nights away from home to meet the demands of the role will also be necessary.
