Payroll Analyst and Administrator

We at Dura-Line seek an experienced and engaging Payroll Analyst and Administrator responsible for collecting, compiling, and processing all payroll data to ensure accurate and timely bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls. We are looking for someone who understands and can influence payroll system configuration while providing detailed reporting to support business functions and payroll inquiries.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls using Ceridian Dayforce System
  • Review and validate employee time-keeping inputs and downloaded information from electronic time-keeping systems at offsite locations for completeness and accuracy
  • Working with local and state tax authorities, garnishments including answering inquiries & paperwork
  • Monitor and audit payroll input data such as vacation, PTO, sick time, 401 (k), court orders, garnishments, and other required deductions
  • Submit timely reporting for 401(k) and FSA accounts to program administrator(s)
  • Work directly with corresponding plant HR People Business Partners
  • Reconcile all pay reports to payroll data for the pay period(s)
  • Create reports as needed to support analysis of any activity processed through the payroll system.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll reconciliations
  • Support review and analysis of all payroll outputs by providing data and reports
  • Review and resolve payment concerns from end users and leadership
  • Prepare effective payroll-related communications for end users
  • Analyze processes and procedures to find improvements and efficiencies
  • Understand payroll system configuration over time and be able to suggest as well as test changes
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years or more of payroll administration or payroll analyst experience paying employees across multiple US States
  • Additional experience running payroll for Canada is preferred
  • 3 years or more experience running hourly time/non-exempt and attendance inputs to payroll
  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • Experience running payroll for companies with more than 1000 employees
  • Experience using a medium to large-scale cloud payroll software solution similar to or including ADP, SAP, Ceridian, Workday, etc.
  • Computer proficiency including strong Excel experience

“The compensation for this position will typically range from $66,000 -$107,000/yr.  The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

 

The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
