Inventory Manager EMEA

To expand our SIOP team we are looking for a talented, metrics-driven, and hands-on INVENTORY MANAGER in the EMEA region who will take initiative, is open and takes responsibility. As the Inventory Manager, you will coordinate with regional demand and supply managers to manage inventory levels and strategic initiatives across multiple locations. You will calculate and manage safety stock targets at all plants in the EMEA region and review and continuously improve the inventory organization, identification, material flow, and inventory control procedures.

Reporting to THE GLOBAL SIOP AND SCHEDULING DIRECTOR you will be creating inventory control process document SOP’s and ensure plants are adhering to policies within the scope of financial requirements is part of your role, as well as managing the cycle count process to ensure schedule compliance, improve inventory accuracies, investigate large variances and implement appropriate action plans to improve inventory transaction accuracy.

 

THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (Individual Contributor role):

  • Cooperating with Regional Demand and Supply Managers to manage inventory levels and strategic initiatives across multiple locations
  • Calculating and managing safety stock targets at all plants in the EMEA region
  • Reviewing and continuously improving inventory organization, identification, material flow and inventory control procedures
  • Creating inventory control process document SOP's and ensuring plants are adhering to policies and within scope of financial requirements
  • Assisting in the preparation of annual physical inventories at all plant locations
  • Managing the cycle count process to ensure schedule compliance, improve inventory accuracies, investigate large variances and implement appropriate action plans to improve inventory transaction accuracy
  • Working with stakeholders on the excess and obsolete inventory and develop plans to reduce/eliminate items on the excess and obsolete report
  • Managing excess and obsolete reporting for all plants
  • Leading monthly reviews with the finance team
  • Overseeing the management of aged finished goods inventory
  • Working with I.T. in the development of automated reports and new SAP transactions
  • Working with the materials managers at each plant to review and coordinate inventory levels in relation to budget and forecasting
  • Managing root cause and corrective actions related to E&O inventory reduction
  • Using analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict and improve the performance of inventory control processes
  • Identifying and facilitating the disposition of excess and obsolete inventory by getting the necessary approvals
  • Reviewing and updating scrap and regrind report monthly
  • Assembling and reviewing inventory data to ensure performance metrics, business process efficiencies, and financial performances are met

 

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

  • Min. bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain management
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred within a material planning or supply chain role for a manufacturing company
  • Technical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Kaizen, process improvement, materials management, and/or production scheduling
  • A proven experience conducting tracking and data analysis
  • Very good project management skills preferably in a regional or global role
  • A high range of analytical, decision making, problem-solving, organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate clearly with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to get results through others
  • An ability to work under pressure in a detailed, organized manner with a degree of tenacity, if appropriate
  • A highly collaborative, growth mindset and you are the ultimate team player who gets things done
  • A customer-centric approach, and strong organizational & people managing skills
  • Very good command of English (min. B2 level)
  • Knowledge and experience with SAP
  • Availability to travel regionally up to 25% of working time
