The role

As the People Services Desk Specialist you are part of the People team for Wavin Benelux and together with the People Business Partners you are responsible to make our People Strategy alive in alignment with our purpose and our business strategy. This role is located at the Wavin organization in Hardenberg, combined with working from our home office. In Hardenberg, the added value manufacturing site is located. Besides that, our state of the art Wavin Academy and our commercial teams are operating out of Hardenberg.

 

Our People Services Desk team consists of a total of 3 people and serves support for HR related questions and processes. We provide process and project support to employee’s, managers and the organization.

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • You are part of our backbone in the People team with regards to all operational People Services supporting all entities in Wavin the Netherlands: Wavin Global Head Office in Amsterdam, Wavin Technology & Innovation in Dedemsvaart, Wavin Netherlands in Hardenberg (approximately 600 employees).
     
  • Supporting and executing different People topics in our People Services Desk:
    • Payroll
      (ensuring a correct, complete and timely monthly payroll process and outcome)
    • Onboarding & offboarding
      (ensuring correct, complete, timely activities and follow up for new hires and leaving employees).
    • Data & Reporting
      (ensuring correct data is in the employee information systems (e.g. SAP SuccessFactors) by regular updates, analyzing and auditing data, ensuring follow up for corrections; running recurring reports).
    • Document Management
      (ensuring documents (templates, policies, procedures, etc.) are up to date, visible to employees where needed; recurring document reviews)
    • Employee & Manager support
      (answering first-line questions, referring to and explanation of policies, contribute to positive employee and manager experiences)
    • Other operational matters, such as: lease car management; drafting employment documentation; time off registration; purchase order administration; et cetera)

 

  • Participating in, supporting, and initiating processes to optimize our services towards the organization
     
  • We are looking for someone who:
    • Has a bachelor degree (HBO) or a secondary vocational education in Human Resources or relevant field (MBO). Or a secondary vocational education in HR or relevant field (MBO); 
    • Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll activities. And preferably experience in the HR field as well as working with AFAS.
    • Is available for a minimum of 32 hours per week.
    • Enjoys working in different environments with varying needs ((inter)national, dynamic, production, commercial, etc.);
    • Is a team player, flexible, eager to support in various requests and actions and is a good communicator;
    • Is accurate and remains focused on data changes and its consequences;
    • Is sensitive towards different needs of different people.
