Dura-Line - Demand Planning Analyst - Remote

Dura-Line is currently hiring for a highly collaborative and analytical thinker to join our Operations SIOP team as the NEW Demand Planning Analyst working remotely in the US or Canada. In this role, you will develop demand forecasts for assigned product groups and customers at multiple levels of aggregations and time horizons, prepare relevant material to facilitate discussion during demand planning meetings, and recommend adjustments to ensure that the most current and accurate information is used to create a consensus demand plan. 


We are looking for an intellectually curious individual that can “predict the future” by strategically using data & analytic insights. Must have previous experience creating visual dashboards (in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) that can be used to make data-driven business decisions and can display the impact of current demand plans against established KPI’s. Detail oriented & committed to accurate data with a passion for delivering successful results are the secret ingredients for success! 


You must have some familiarity of statistical forecasting models and applications and calculations for forecast accuracy and be able to gather, analyze, and validate data. A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, SAP & Salesforce is a plus) is key as you will use & maintain the Demanding Planning Software to execute statistical model, track KPIs, issue reports/models, and integrate commercial & operations forecasts. 


You will need a degree in Business, Statistics, Supply Chain, Economics or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience in Supply Chain, inventory management, or demand planning in a manufacturing or industrial environment (APICS, IBF, or similar certification is a huge plus). Familiarity to Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma techniques & tools to help you refine forecasting system & methods to better anticipate the customers’ needs in addition to measuring and tracking forecast accuracy and use as input for continued forecast process improvements. 


What else is needed for this role? 

Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills are key in this role because you will be the primary liaison between Operations, Planning, Sales, & Purchasing and partner with global cross-functional teams. You will build analytical support models & dashboard, synthesize recommendation, and create reports & presentations to communicate effectively & clear to all audiences. Positive attitude, ability to strategize, able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively while working under strict timelines and adaptability to constant change.
