Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Offline Production Supervisor for our thriving Gainesville, TX site. This pivotal role requires an individual who can lead, inspire, and cultivate a team dedicated to achieving excellence. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5 PM (flexibility required, occasional weekends, and 12-hour shifts). 

 

As our Offline Production Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include: 

  • Managing all grinding operations and regrind insertion process with daily targets and goals, this includes all offline services of Reel Return, Reel Building, Grinding and Pelletizing processes, to coordinate and supervise the offline order scheduling priorities, and production schedule for reel requirements.  
  • Order production materials, ensure pelletizing process and machine hours are optimized to ensure maximum plant potential in consuming pellets & regrind.  
  • Utilizing proven people leadership skills to coach, mentor, and motivate the team. 
  • Implementing best practices across all shifts for enhanced efficiency. 
  • Being a hands-on, engaging leader, setting an example for the team on safety, quality, service, cost, and production targets. 
  • Demonstrating effective problem-solving skills. 

  

In this critical role, you will also be responsible for: 

  • Oversee and manage daily offline operations (including weekend planning) - Reel building, Reel return program, pelletizing operations, grinding operations, Material (finished goods) handling and assist with Scrap & Materials Management 
  • Coordinating and supervising offline order scheduling priorities. 
  • Optimizing the pelletizing process and machine hours for maximum plant potential in consuming regrind. 
  • Inventory flanges and staves and reel building to supply inventory management to keep production lines running.    
  • Management of bagged product to other facilities and backup to shift production Supervisors as needed. 
  • Ordering production materials and ensuring efficient use of resources. 

  

Requirements: To thrive in this role, you will need: 

  • 1–3 years of lead or supervisory experience in manufacturing, with a background in extrusion as a significant advantage. 
  • Strong multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. 
  • Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S, consensus building, and a continuous improvement mindset. 
  • Results-oriented mindset, thriving in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills. 
  • Valid forklift license & experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/SAP experience is a plus. 
  • Conducting daily Gemba walks, safety audits, and quality checks is highly desirable. 
  • Ability to achieve KPI such as: safety culture, sustainability, productivity, regrind / pellet consumption, labor utilization, on time delivery to production, scrap reduction, stock-out measurement
