Schedule: Night Shift 6:45 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. 

Salary Range : 86,000 to 93,000

About Us: 

Dura-Line, an Orbia Business & a global leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dynamic Senior Production Supervisor for our Gainesville, Texas site.  

 

This BRAND NEW position, you will lead and support a culture of safety, standardize operations on all shifts, changeover standardization/urgency, focus on scrap management, drive an operator based 5s culture, improve accountability, improve individualized coaching, develop succession plan within the shifts, foster quality, lean, and safety culture. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Direct supervision of daily operations such as staffing, quality control, and schedule adherence 

  • Lead by example to hit targets (in order of priority) in safety, quality, service, cost, and production.  When goals are missed, understand why and have suggestions for improvement 

  • Hold team accountable to following established procedures and conforming to conduct standards 

  • Be an enabler for team to drive process improvements. Ensure effective employee relations 

  • Mentor Lead Operators and production team 

  • Balance quality, safety, morale, productivity and cost to achieve positive results in all areas 

  • Responsible for the effective training, qualification, proficiency and overall performance management of employees 

  • Build a team that is dedicated and committed to excellence, with open communication, where all team members have a voice 

  

Qualifications: 

  • 5-8 years of supervisory experience in a lean manufacturing/production environment 

  • At least an Associate degree is required

  • Experience overseeing the daily operations of your team, including staffing, quality control, and schedule adherence 

  • Ability to meet KPIs: scrap reduction, improve safety behaviors, increase labor retention, labor utilization, improve product quality, reduce downtime, TRIR, OSHA recordables, etc. 

  • Proven track record of leading, training, and coaching direct reports 

  • Technical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills 

  • Excellent multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritization 

  • Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), ERP experience, SAP is a plus
