Field Application Engineer

Dura-line is currently recruiting for a proactive Field Application Engineer with outstanding communication skills, mechanical skills, and industry experience. We are looking for a customer centric individual that is comfortable with travellingYou will represent Dura-Line as the point of contact at our clients’ installation sites to train them and provide hands-on assistance on best-in-practice installation methods while completing accurate technical documentation and conducting presentations for our internal cross-functional team.

 

This role is very hands-on and will require you to assist with client installations and complaint locations to determine root causes and help in any way we can. We are looking for someone based in the Gainseville, TX  or Clinton, TN area. We need someone that is not afraid to be onsite and get their hands dirty, use mechanical tools, feel comfortable being around heavy equipment, and can provide assistance with the installation of our conduit pipes and variety of other products. After helping on the installation sites, complete technical documentation, and use Microsoft Office to gather, analyze, and submit data in our ERP system.

 

We are looking for a good communicator that is comfortable picking up the phone and speaking directly to clients and end-users whether it is resolving their product complaints and issues, building technical credibility to influence customer’s decision and recommend product enhancements and solutions, or selling our products to support sales efforts. Passion is in every role we do; we need an enthusiastic person that can work with various vendors and customers to bring that same level of energy to every project.

 

What else do you need?

Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in power utility, telecom, datacom, outside plant or data center construction experience is needed to be able to understand the conduit pipe installation process and help our customers in a timely and promptly manner. If you have worked in construction and have knowledge of aerial and underground conduit and/or duct installations and/or fiber cable experience (jetting, placing, splicing), you can easily bring your skills and knowledge and make an impact right away.

 

You will learn to communicate the ins and out of our industry products to help develop lasting relationships with vendors and customers while assisting them as the subject-matter expert on Dura-Line products. You will be empowered to recommend the best solutions and train them on the process with help from the product management and sales team. Information will be documented and standardized globally, so you must be computer savvy to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience in systems is desired as you will enter the information in Salesforce as a communication tool and record of customer contact.
