Shipping Attendant (2nd Shift)

On-site – Elyria, Ohio (Sugar Lane Location)
Our Shipping Attendants are responsible for the proper preparation and loading all outgoing shipments of finished products, unloading incoming shipments, maintaining shipping yard/workspace and transporting materials/finished products to appropriate department and/or storage location. You may assist and perform internal plant material handing duties as well.
PAY: This position's starting pay is $16.83/hour and up, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:15pm

What you will do:

Load and coordinate outgoing shipments, process and print bills of lading and paperwork

Unload incoming shipments and receive goods in SAP, ensuring proper documentation (stamped, labeled) and storage of the product, and submit to appropriate shipping personnel.

Assemble, package products/materials for shipment if required – wrap, add protection per standard work instructions.

Label identifying information and shipping instructions onto boxes, reels or containers and ensure proper documentation for shipments.

Communicates with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials

Examine outgoing shipments for any product defects and place Shipping Labels on all shipments.

Assist Shipping Technician with inventory control , provide weekly, monthly and yearly cycle count for steel reels and inventory

May unload incoming shipments of products, return and materials, count parts and keep inventory accuracy and possibly track inventory and transactions in SAP. department and/or storage locations. This position will also assist in building reels as needed

May assist and perform material handling duties to move production and raw materials within the plant including tape, extrusion reel return and reel building.
What we need from you:

High School Diploma
- Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently, bilingual is a Plus

At least 2 years of excellent lift truck (forklift) experience in a manufacturing/ warehouse/ shipping/ distribution environment with varies types of equipment and diverse terrain and environments.
- Familiarity with warehouse systems and processes including shipping and receiving, first in/first out. (FIFO)

Basic computer skills including MS Office products and MRP or ERP software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Non-Climate Controlled Facility
- Will be walking consistently throughout the day in the Facility, when not on Forklift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Ability to squat, bend, stoop and stand
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to jobrelated knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
