Dura-Line Quality Supervisor in Elyria, Ohio
Dura-Line, an Orbia Business, is actively seeking a dynamic and results-driven Quality Supervisor to join our team at the 669 Sugar Lane, Elyria, Ohio, manufacturing facility. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of quality management within the plant. This includes resolving technical issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to elevate the overall quality culture. As a key member of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our long-term success through strategic thinking and effective people leadership.
What You Will Do:
- Quality Issue Resolution: Identify, assess, and resolve quality issues by analyzing problems, evaluating solution options, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring the proper allocation of resources.
- Audits & Compliance: Lead internal quality audits and ensure robust corrective actions are swiftly implemented. Prepare the plant for both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Reporting & Metrics: Provide detailed quality performance reports to plant and regional leadership, outlining key metrics and progress toward objectives.
- Audit Plan Support: Assist in the development and execution of the annual audit plan. Lead the internal audit team and work closely with external third-party auditors to ensure audit success.
- Document Control Management: Oversee the controlled document system, ensuring all changes to procedures, work instructions, forms, and other documents meet quality certification standards.
- Process Execution: Manage critical quality processes, including complaints, change control, deviations, laboratory investigations, CAPA, and supplier approval processes.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a small team of QA technicians, while also actively contributing to the team’s work and quality initiatives.
- Quality Culture Development: Foster a culture of quality excellence within Dura-Line by working cross-functionally with operations and other internal teams to drive improvements.
- Compliance with ISO 9001:2015 Standards: Ensure the plant adheres to ISO 9001:2015 requirements across key areas such as inspection/testing methods, calibration of M&TE, non-conforming products, training, supply chain development, and final audits.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects related to operational processes that support business needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Education: High School diploma required. A bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a quality role within a certified Quality Management System (QMS), ideally in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or similar industries.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes within a manufacturing environment.
- Audit Expertise: Experience with auditing, including leading and supporting audit plans. Formal training and experience as a Lead Internal Auditor are highly desirable. Familiarity with TS/TL/ISO standards is a plus.
- Document Control: Strong experience with controlled document systems, including the creation, maintenance, and development of SOPs, work instructions, and training guides for the team.
- Leadership Skills: A natural leader with the ability to inspire and guide a team, while fostering collaboration across departments to achieve quality goals.

What We Offer You for Your Hard Work:
The compensation for this position will typically range from $66,000 - $107,000/yr. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
The compensation package may also include short and long-term incentive compensation.
