1. MAIN PURPOSE (Briefly state the job's overall objective)
Manage the operational safety, availability and reliability of the plant physical assets through overseeing the development, implementation and management of documented reliability and asset integrity strategies based on reliability, mechanical integrity and structural integrity techniques in compliance with corporate standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Briefly describe the most important aspects of the job)
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Site Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 45001, PSM, SARI, NSF, KOSHER, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of the current version of the Orbia Asset Integrity Management Standard PSMS-010-AIM.
- Manage the budget allocated to the Reliability and Asset Integrity team and provide budget and actual spend data on a monthly basis.
- Manage the personnel in the Reliability & Asset Integrity team, ensuring they have access to all equipment and support required to perform their duties.
- Manage the training and competence requirements of the Reliability and Asset Integrity team and evaluate individual performance on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure that all members of the Reliability & Asset Integrity team have access to and use the functions of SAP relating to their role.
- Support the planning team to keep the SAP database updated in the transactions of route sheets, maintenance plans, and creation of BOMs for critical equipment.
- Oversee the development, implementation and management of reliability-based maintenance and inspection programs (RCM, RBI, FMEA) designed to manage the risks and consequences of equipment failure.
- Review and approve inspection plans for pressure vessels, tanks, tank cars, containers and piping systems, ensuring they are continuously improved and reflect the latest inspection technology and techniques (NDT, vibration/temperature/speed) that will reduce the risk of loss of containment.
- Drive the use of Proactive (Predictive and Preventive) Maintenance techniques by the maintenance team to optimize reliability and cost.
- Identify the reliability and asset integrity activities that must be performed by external contractors and manage the bidding process (with procurement) and award of the contracts.
- Lead and promote the drive for continuous improvement to deliver benefits such as energy savings, cost reduction, improved performance, increased reliability, reduced risk, reduced environmental impact, and improved safety for staff and facilities.
- Review the results of mechanical integrity inspections and predictive maintenance activities and approve the identified remedial actions.
- Identify equipment that will need replacement as part of the CAPEX program and participate in the various risk analyses associated with investment projects or improvement of equipment and process facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements related to Reliability & Asset Integrity, such as API 510, 570, 580 & 653, ASME and NOMs.
- Lead the technical analysis of chronic equipment failures (bad actors) using RCA and establish corrective action plans.
- Lead the implementation of the criticality assessment process for all production equipment.
- Monitor the level of chronic equipment failures (bad actors), lead the technical analysis and establish corrective action plans.
- Manage reliability and asset integrity performance indicators (MTBF, MTTR, Availability, Risk of Failure).
- Validate and approve Reliability and Asset Integrity purchase orders with the procurement team to expedite the acquisition of critical maintenance materials and services.
- Participate in the preparation of the scope of work for the annual shutdown.
- Coordinate internal and external audits for Reliability and Asset Integrity.
- Complete technical evaluation and risk analysis in static and dynamic assets.
- Conduct regular Health and Safety inspections of the workshop areas to ensure they are safe and clear from waste and debris.
- Promote the introduction of new reliability and inspection technologies (Drones, Wireless Sensors, APM, AI).
- Implement digital tools for asset management and analysis.
- Ensure that all work completed meets the required quality standard.
3. COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB (i.e. The occupant manages vendors from different geographical regions with various financial and legal conditions and the level and impact of decisions the occupant needs to make, manages revenue, CAPEX, Sales, etc.)
- Managing the requirements of PSMS-010-AIM and aligning the activities with the allocated budget.
- Managing external vendors who provide Reliability & Asset Integrity services, ensuring they deliver the agreed scope of work within the allocated budget.
- Managing reliability and asset integrity data to identify when maintenance interventions are required.
- Managing reliability and asset integrity data to identify equipment that should be added to the CAPEX program.
- Work closely with peers to manage all aspects of safe and reliable operations and ensure a minimum level of 80% preventive maintenance is achieved.
- Managing the use of SAP by the Reliability and Asset Integrity team.
- Be part of the site leadership team and work closely with peers to manage resources, activities and budgets to ensure the site production targets are delivered.
- Managing unionized personnel.

7. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGE, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (To perform satisfactorily in this job what type of knowledge and experience is required?)
Education
- Required: Mechanical, Integrity, Reliability or related Engineering.
- Desirable: Postgraduate or certification in Reliability (CMRP, CRL) or Asset Management (IAM).
Knowledge and Experience.
- Minimum 12 years in maintenance, reliability or integrity of assets in the chemical or petrochemical industry.
- Good working knowledge of API, ASME, NFPA, ISO 55000, ASTM, ISO 4406 standards.
- Experience with failure analysis, RCM, FMEA, RCA.
- Good working knowledge of maintenance management software (SAP PM) and data analysis (Power BI, advanced Excel) tools.
- Good working knowledge of reliability and mechanical integrity software.
- Good working knowledge of predictive techniques: vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound.
Language:
- English-B1
Physical requirements for the position such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws):
- Ability to walk unaided in the plant area.
