Senior Employee Relations Manager


Dura-Line is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Employee Relations Manager (Remote) to be a key member of our Peoples Services team. We need an experienced employer relations leader with 10+ years of experience in employee relations, ethics and compliance. This is a critical role as you will be tasked to plan, develop, implement and promote activities and programs that enhance overall employee engagement, communication and relations. You will be responsible for directing the compliance of company employment policies and practices through end-to-end management and resolution of ethics, compliance and key people related investigation processes and tools.

This role will execute the following activities:

  • Investigate complex team member allegations and concerns that could implicate significant legal, regulatory, financial, or other risks, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Provide recommendations for the appropriate course of action based on the outcome of investigations
  • Use excellent interviewing, interpersonal, and documentation techniques and utilize the designated online case management tool for reporting, documenting, and tracking investigations
  • Partner with the Legal team for issue escalation and training HR team members in conducting thorough investigations and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Engage and participate in projects and initiatives related to employee relations investigations
  • Provide critical input to the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies across the company based upon your investigation findings and recommendations
  • Review investigation cases and issue trends data and provide actionable feedback to legal, HRBP teams, and senior leaders to reduce overall risk in the organization
  • Continue to evolve and improve the framework (process, tools, guides, etc.) for managing internal allegations and claims, as well as conducting, reporting, and documenting employee relations investigations


The Ideal Candidate will possess the following:

  • 10 or more years of work experience in employee relations, ethics and compliance
  • Experience leading HR investigations
  • Working knowledge of all state, federal, province and country regulation changes, additions, etc.
  • Hands-on experience creating and implementing standard work processes for seamless employee relations administration and training (transitioning manual process to digital solutions)
  • Strong problem solving, reporting and analytical skills
  • Customer-centered mindset, detail oriented, ability to plan, execute & communicate complex data related issues into simple action
  • Works well under pressure, tight deadlines and handles crisis situations effectively
