Sustainability Global Director
Fluor and Energy Materials , an Orbia business, is looking for a Sustainability Global Director to be based at Mexico/ USA!
Purpose
The Sustainability Global Director will be in charge of implementing F&EM’s Sustainability & CSR Four-Pillars Framework: 1) Community Engagement 2) “Sustainable Operations”, 3) “Sustainable Solutions” & 4) “ESG Disclosure”. This position will be overseeing, executing and facilitating the implementation of all F&EM sustainability framework’s projects and initiatives related, in collaboration with the operational leadership team and all the business’ sites, areas’ directors and managers and supply chain related staff. This function will be always in alignment to Orbia’s sustainability strategy and model, ESG’s indicators and corporate global commitments and goals, since one of the main roles of the Sustainability Director is to be the main focal point between the Orbia’s Sustainability Corporate team and the F&EM’s sites and leaders.
Main Responsibilities
- Leading and implementing F&EM’s Sustainability & CSR Four-Pillars Framework: 1) Community Engagement 2) “Sustainable Operations”, 3) “Sustainable Solutions” & 4) “ESG Disclosure”.
- Aligning F&EM’s and Orbia’s Sustainability models and strategies, with a special focus on sustainable corporate goals and commitments.
- Use and compliance of several databases and platforms for the registration of KPIs (ODISEO, SharePoint, etc.)
- Presentations design and preparation to report progress of Sustainability projects and KPIs, to leadership team & coordination of F&EMs Sustainability Updates Cadence Meetings with site’s operational leaders.
- Coordinating key yearly reporting activities, such as the compilation of data for Orbia’s sustainability report; and other Orbia’s corporate commitments such as: UN SDGs, CDP, SBTi, TCFD, MSCI, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, among others.
- Monitor global trends and developments related to sustainability/ESG reporting, related to F&EM’s business sector (chemicals, mining, refrigerants, propellants and future fluorinated based solutions).
Minimum Qualifications
- Economics, Environmental, Chemical or Sustainability Engineering and International Relations and related degrees
- English advanced
- At leas 3 years of expeirence on similar position
Knowledge/ Experience Required
- Strong management on data analytics and reporting platforms.
- Solid organization and understanding on environmental sustainability KPIs (water, waste, emissions, energy, compliance, circularity).
- Understanding and familiarity with concepts such as circularity, water stewardship, clean technologies and/or renewable energy.
- Outstanding project management and follow up skills. Results oriented and solid coordination of a wide range of topics and projects, from across geographies and sites.
- Experience on sustainability reporting tools such as GRI, SASB and other sustainability platforms and standards such as UN SDGs, CDP, SBTi, TCFD, MSCI, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, among others.
- Knowledge on ESG related policies and regulatory updates and disclosure requirements.
