We’re looking for a Civil Structural Engineer to join our team and drive all aspects of CSA design and execution across a major industrial capital project.
You’ll partner closely with EPC firms and other contractors to ensure high-quality, on-time CSA deliverables appropriate for every stage of the project lifecycle. The role offers the opportunity to move between the EPC office and the project site in Baton Rouge as the project progresses from engineering through commissioning.

About the Role
- Serve as the primary civil/structural/architectural engineering expert, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with company objectives throughout the capital investment program
- Advise the Engineering Manager and Project Manager on deviations from design standards, industry codes, and Project engineering practices, and support resolution of non-conformances
- Oversee contractor engineering and field construction activities to ensure facilities meet all specified requirements, providing timely interpretation and responses to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Ensure the technical quality and integrity of civil/structural/architectural designs for project facilities align with the Project Execution Plan and company standards
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering is required
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in civil/structural/architectural engineering within large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of international engineering codes and standards, foundation and structural design, seismic and dynamic analysis, and construction practices
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and with geographically diverse contractors and vendors.
- Physical requirements for the position such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws):
- Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments, which may include navigating uneven surfaces, climb stairs or ladders, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Visual acuity is sufficient to read technical drawings, review construction work, and operate standard office and field equipment
- Must be able to travel to project sites as needed
- Proficiency in English is required (written and verbal). Additional language skills may be beneficial depending on project location and vendor engagement
