Fabrication Operative

The role

Reporting to the Fabrications Team Leader, the Fabrication Operative will work within our Cells department initially on a Monday to Friday day shift with the potential to move to a Monday to Thursday, Split Shift pattern (6 am till 4 pm on week 1 and 4 pm till 2 am on week 2). You will be responsible for setting and starting machines, and using hand equipment to produce plastic building products to company, BS & ISO standards and achieve the planned production.



  • To set and start machines, hand equipment to produce plastic building products to company, BS & ISO standards and achieve the planned production.  
  • Ensure full compliance with all company Health & Safety procedures and policies.
  • Provide support to departmental supervision through production improvement plans to ensure all site objectives are implemented, monitored and continually improved within the Chippenham site.
  • Carry out machine and handheld equipment changes as indicated by the production schedule.
  • Ensure all training requirement is followed through for the team and recorded in a timely fashion
  • Undertake Additional tasks as deemed appropriate by the Company regardless of the area.



  • Previous experience of short/medium batch fabricated production
  • Good planning and organisational skills for themselves and team members
  • Ability to work positively and influence others whilst building good working relationships with personnel at all levels
  • A flexible and adaptable work ethic
  • Demonstrable pro-active approach to all aspects of Health & Safety
  • Ability to hold a Forklift Licence
