1. MAIN PURPOSE (Briefly state the job's overall objective)
The main purpose of an Infrastructure Project Leader is to successfully manage and deliver IT infrastructure projects on time, within scope, and budget. This role ensures the alignment of technical objectives with business goals, while coordinating resources, managing risks, and effective communication with stakeholders. The role will work closely with global architecture to deliver all stages of the project management lifecycle and transition services into operational support. The roles core focus will be on networking and hosting architecture changes.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.
Team Coordination
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members or external partners
Facilitate collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Risk Management
Identify potential project risks and create mitigation strategies.
Proactively address issues to prevent project delays.
Budget Management
Ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
Track expenses and report on financial status.
Communication
Serve as the primary point of contact between stakeholders.
Provide regular project updates and status reports to leadership.
Quality Assurance
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
Oversee testing and validation of infrastructure components.
Change Management
Handle modifications to project scope or requirements.
Ensure smooth transitions during system upgrades or migrations.
Post-Implementation Support:
Facilitate knowledge transfer to operations teams.
Review project outcomes and document lessons learned.

Technical Depth and Breadth
Moderate to High Complexity:
The project leader needs a solid understanding of IT infrastructure (e.g., networks, servers, cloud, security) to guide the team effectively and make informed decisions.
Must also grasp how the infrastructure aligns with business applications and overall IT strategy.

7. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LANGUAGE, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (To perform satisfactorily in this job what type of knowledge and experience is required?)
- Academic Level: Preffered Bachelor’s degree in computer science
- Language(s) and level of proficiency: Required: English (fluent), Beneficial additional languages: Spanish, Portuguese
- Knowledge/Experience:
Technical Knowledge- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless access points, servers, virtualized hardware, etc.).
- Familiarity with enterprise protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, vLANs, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of infrastructure security best practices.
- Understanding of deploying, configuring, and testing network and hosting equipment.
- Understanding of application and workplace dependencies on hosting and network architecture.
Management Skills
- Experience in planning, executing, and closing projects.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Ability to motivate team members.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders (e.g., operations, finance, senior management).
Relevant Experience
- Proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or data center operations.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
- Familiarity with documentation, training, and support processes necessary for a smooth handover.
- Physical requirements for the position such as mobility, vision, strength, etc. (applicable in line with local laws):
- Able to travel 10-20%
- Maintain an internationally accepted driving license.
- Maintain a passport for international travel.
