We are currently looking for a strategic leader to drive innovation and growth in the field of smart and digital solutions. Building on the Wavin iConnect platform this role will support the exploration and development of a range of digital solutions in water, sewer, building, and home performance.

The role
As an innovation manager you will be the force behind our digital solutions agenda from exploring the development of new smart products and services to deploying AI within the organization. You think in opportunities that can make a real-world impact, and you bring colleagues, customers and stakeholders together to make it happen. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor market trends, competitors and technological developments and identify opportunities for innovation within the organization.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative customer and market research: You investigate customer needs using proven methodologies such as design thinking, surveys and more.
  • Build and present compelling business cases for innovative ideas in an inspiring, data-driven and convincing manner.
  • Maintain a strong external network of technology providers, engineering firms, and local governments to enhance offerings.
  • Monitor and report on the performance and impact of pilots and scaled solutions.
  • Work closely with regional teams to support scaling efforts and ensure adoption.

 

Profile

  • Several years of experience in new proposition development, product management, or a similar role in the digital solutions or smart products domain.
  • Proven track record of scaling innovative products or services internationally.
  • A strong understanding of intelligent systems, IoT, and sustainable technologies.
  • Hands on, likes to go into the details but can see the bigger picture also
  • Customer centric self-starter & growth mindset – fail fast, learn faster
  • Creative problem solver, strategic thinker, and analytical skills
  • Experience in cross-functional team management; self-confident individual who can lead a team and work collaboratively
  • A bachelor/master’s degree in engineering or similar education (e.g. electronics, mechanical, or civil) with affinity with electronics and IoT technologies
  • Bring expertise in smart water systems, building automation, or infrastructure asset management.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (e.g., Dutch, English, and another European language).
  • Certification in Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies.
