We are currently looking for a Category Manager Plastic Components. to join us at any of our locations in Europe. If you want to make a difference and work for a purpose-led company, please read on.
The role
As the Category Manager Plastic Components your responsibility is the European-wide category sourcing plan for specific Components -sub-categories (Plastic Components). You are responsible for delivering the benefits associated with the sub-category for which he/she is accountable. You are fostering European supplier relationships associated with the sub-category and will work closely with the stakeholders in all functional areas to deliver benefits across the specific sub-category. You are also maintaining close relationships with stakeholders to manage the innovation process with suppliers and to align on long term development needs.
Responsibilities:
- You will manage the Plastic Components sub-categories to make the category work efficiently and to make sure all KPI’s are met.
- You contribute to the Europe-wide -sub-category sourcing plan, focusing on the benefits achievement and plans related to all sub-categories.
- You continuously drive for optimizing working capital, costs and service and you oversee and deliver annual value improvements in the relevant sub-categories.
- You oversee and deliver selection strategies, processes and management of key suppliers.
- Your task is to measure and track performance of spend sub-category and define budgetary impact.
- You develop and manage relationships with key groups of business stakeholders.
- You manage the network of Territory representatives for activities or projects related to the specific sub-category.
- You coordinated and aligned methods with Supply Chain Team to continuously monitor and enhance sub-contract partners (and 3rd party vendors) in the Components category.
Profile:
- You have a relevant degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
- You have experience in procurement in an international environment.
- You are an effective and pro-active communicator across all mediums to a wide audience.
- You have very good analytical skills.
- You have good manufacturing inventory management experience in a high volume environment.
- You have demonstrated ability to think strategically and argue persuasively for a course of action.
- You are a strong problem solver and bring analytical expertise.
- You have project management skills.
- You are business fluent in English.
